Lilac Season:

After discovering the Lilac Garden at Colt State Park last year, we KNEW we had to check it out again this year during lilac season. Fortunately, Edie was feeling herself again and was up to enjoying being outdoors, so we were able to visit the garden one afternoon before the lilacs disappeared.

First, some lilacs...

I could almost smell those lilacs - it's too bad they don't bloom longer into the year. I did see there is a new strain that blooms longer or later or something.

Yes, a friend told me about those lilacs. Supposedly they will last ALL season long and even beyond.
