I went yesterday to visit.Tube out,x ray every 2 to 4 hrs.Slowly but surely it is starting to go down.I came home to fix supper for the family.Mom calls and tells me the Surgeon came in and said we are at the point that we are going to have to remove half of your lung that is leaking.It crushed her,and me.Scared me more than anything,afraid she won't pull through it as bad as her lungs are and all.So she is crying and upset.I decide to take snacks,warm clothes and my fav pillow and go over there.I got at the room around eight thirty.They cut her off food and water of course at 12am.They come in at all hrs taking x rays just in case.So five am they come tell us what the procedure will be like,how long recovery will be.All.So my nerves are a bundle anyway all night and morning just anticipating the surgery to come.Hrs pass.Mom is starved,thirsty,anxious.So at around eleven another surgeon comes in says the man that is going to do the surgery is in another surgery running late.Duh.Noon comes very slowly believe me...Nurse says you can eat and drink the surgery isn't going to happen.All the emotions we've felt all night and all morning turns to frustration and anger on my part.I want to know what's going on NOW.No one can tell me.Mom was exhausted needing sleep.I just need to get out of there for awhile.SO i did.UUUGGGGHHHHH!Mom finally called around six and said they have it a go on Monday morning.MAYBE huh...That is my rant of hospital life day number 12-13.Thanks for reading.Angie
