Cars Cost Time and Money!!! Lol

Along with freedom comes responsibility and having Allen's car I
have freedom and therefore I have to be responsible enough to help the
economy by spending money!!

On Thursdays I usually do my food shopping by going to Winn Dixie and/or Publix but today I had a car to use as long as I wanted. I started off by going to the post office and mailing the paintings to Rogallery.

Yes,
I decided to trust that they were honest dealers and legitimate. I gave
it to them on consignment and will see what they sell it for. If I can
get $500 or $1,000 I'll be happy--that will buy me a DVD and VHS
player/recorder. By the way I did send it certified with a return
signature plus I insured it for $500--I'm not that stupid and/or trusting.

After that I went to Lowe's and bought myself two plants--the red one is a Salvia and the pink one is a Penta--to add to my window plant sill. I can pull the blind down so the birds won't get to eat them!  LOL

Next on to the Dollar Tree store on 17th Street which has
now become part of my Thursday routine. They have a frozen food and
produce section where you can buy a package of 16 slices of cheese for
a dollar, ice cream, fresh frozen fruits, steaks, etc., for a dollar
each and, oh yes, chocolate covered Graham crackers and chocolate
covered pretzels, which, somehow landed up in my basket along with a few other items.

After
that I was on y way for my MRI which I was hoping wouldn't turn out
like the others where I panicked out after 30 seconds except one where
I was given a Valuim. This was an open, stand up or sit down which
should have  been a lot easier.

Actually
I did last through the first half but bolted before they put in the
'contrasting dye' but the technician said that it wasokay as they got the important pictures.

On the way home I stopped and put in $5 worth of gas--I try to do that each time I am out so it stays above the half
full and, also, so I won't get 'hit' having to fill it up--which
actually is a little less than 2 gallons!  LOL

My last stop was at Publix partially feeling proud of myself for having lasted longer than usual
on the MRI so I felt I deserved a reward and because I didn't finish
the MRI I was embarrassed so I had to console myself. Filling both feelings was a special they were having and something I hadn't had
before--Diana's Bananas Banana Babies!!! They are frozen bananas
covered in chocolate. After I finished the package I decided they
weren't too good--I tried them two ways, the first frozen and the
second slightly thawed--neither way were they satisfactory.

All in all a busy day spending money--guess I'll have to blame Allen for letting me have the car--but don't tell him!

Sounds like a productive day. It's funny, when I have an MRI or CT scan, they put these headphones on me and tell me to listen to the music....uummmmm...if I can *hear* it, I will listen to it. Then they tell me not to be startled by the very loud noises the machine makes. Again...it's not that loud to me, so it doesn't bother me. There are some pluses to not being able to hear well. lol

The noise doesn't both me at all--it's everything else!!!

I was able to talk myself through an MRI scan of my knee--just enough of my head was sticking out that I could read the numbers on the front of the machine. But when they wanted me to go in head first, I was off the table before the guy could strap my arms at my sides. But I eventually got that scan done with the help of an open machine and a big fat Valium! On the other hand, you were well rewarded for your experience! Although that picture on the box doesn't look much like a banana to me!

Next time I will have a frozen milky way--frozen bananas aren't THAT good!
My first two MRIs I panicked within 30 seconds--the 3rd I also had a Valium and made it all the way through--this one I made it through 30 minutes which was enough!
Since my valve replacement operation I have had (oh, &&^%$--memory lapse) the fear of enclosed places or having to be absolutely still which is why I can't even have cat scans!!
