DH's company is building a new building. We got to tour it today. It's partly finished, ranging from enclosed, but unfinished inside, to 5 stories of floors with open sides.

It was kind of cool. The elevator shafts are all blocked off, but I pulled out my little key light, and shined it down through a hole in the boards. This was on a third floor, so I couldn't even see the bottom. Saw the area that DH's desk will be.

Really weird to walk around a building when there are no outside walls. Just wooden railings to keep you from falling 3 stories down!

At one point the guy says something about some people not wearing steel toed boots, and looks pointedly at my sandals. Thanks a lot. I'm quite capable of watching where I step.
