  Pretty Flowers

When the veterinarian arrived on Thursday, the first thing he said was "nice flowers." Sigh. Those would be millions of yellow flowers. I'm waiting for DH to put the mower deck on the lawn tractor. And, no, I haven't asked him to do it. I'm waiting to see how long it takes for him to notice the grass is a foot tall and the dandelions are taking over.

I did master the gas weedwacker. Now I can trim the grass around my garden myself.

Dandelions or mustard? We have both in abundance this year. And I have to confess I've never in my life operated a gas weedeater. I use the old fashion clippers. No pollution, cheaper, and builds up the hand grip!

I fixed the "Riding mower today". I fixed the "leaf blower". I really didn't have to do chit. The kids wanted to check these things out. Yard is looking good. I presume, this will last like 2 weeks. Then I will be doing the work... grrr...

It's such a good feeling to be able to just power something up anytime you want.

Just today I was promising myself I would figure out how to start the weedwhacker. I think the issue is the gas-oil mix that goes into it - is it already mixed? Do I have to mix it every time? That kind of thing. Mr. Tbend will be home in a week and I'll nail him down on it once and for all.

Opps kinda wrote that wrong... sorry. Use 3/4th of a gallon of gas to a 2.6 oz bottle. It will give close to a 32 to 1 ratio. Once I re-read it I noticed it could have been taken wrong. Sorry

32 to 1. Probably best. When I raced motocross we did 50 to 1. I kinda learned to "eyeball the thing". 24 to 1 would be the more "rich side". You gotta do some math on this. 1 part to 32 parts. Yes, you have to do this every time. Tell you what, at the dollar store you can buy these little 2.6 oz bottles of "2 stroke oil". They are good for 1 gallon at a 50 to 1 ratio. So put about 3/4ths in, and you will be good to go. No math this way.. LOL
