  Mayhem

I seem to have been on an endless rollercoaster ride for the past month! There has barely been time  to eat, sleep and change crappy nappies, let alone swing by Greasy-town for the craic.

Anyway...life on this side of the pond is good. My son seems to be doing well at school. I have survived three parent council meetings without losing the will to live or get really pissed at the backstabbing and bitching that goes on there from time to time. We have just bought bikes for the boys' birthdays, albeit very early birthday presents. We are hoping that the weather is on the turn and that they will get the hang of them over the forthcoming Easter holiday and much longer summer holidays.

I am a little apprehensive about the school holidays as all three of my children seem hell bent on turning our home into a war zone. They fight over feck all. They think that if they are playing in what appears to be perfect harmony then I will not go ballistic at the fact they have piled every toy they possess so high that Everest better watch out!

I have arranged for my eldest son to go to the school holiday club for three mornings next week - a little respite for me from the niggling and fighting. Ok, so I am hoping he will come home knackered and not have the energy to start anything! ;-) My other two kids are too young for this yet but they aren't usually too bad together. *hope I haven't just spoken too soon*

My kid sister has helped organise a surprise 30th for her new man so we are meant to be going to that on Saturday night. This means I will have managed 2 nights out this year and it is only April. I have already overtaken last years night's out tally. This night out is dependant on my MIL being well. To be honest I don't mind one way or the other as all my folks will be there .... torture!

Better sign off for now it is time to get the monsters children fed before I have to dash off to nursery with L. Then it will be back home to try and beat DH's record on the Wii. We have been slightly competative with the training part of Wii sports esp the bowling. So much so that my shoulder is freakin sore!!

Wow!!! 2 nights out? But you did go on that trip too... although I guess you never get a vacation from the little ones!
I love the wii.

AH yes! The infinite joys of parenthood! Trust me when I tell you that, when you have weathered these storms, clear skies and fair winds will fill your days...it's called GRANDparenthood! As grandparents, we have the children over, fill them with sugar, and then return them to the parents before the time-bomb goes off!
Somebody once told me that grandchildren are God's reward to us for not killing our own kids!
