Straight No Chaser - 12 Days

I have always loved a capella music. I have actually always wanted to be in one. Most of you probably don't know this, but I really like to sing. I was in a chorus when I was in college, and there is just soemthing about the synergy that comes about with the wonderful sounds that come about as voices merge into one sound. If I had the time (and was brave enough), I would try out for Providence Gay Men's Choir.

They have been playing this on the local radio station ... yes, we are in full Christmas mode with a number of radio stations shifting over to just holiday music. Anyway, this group is really awesome as they have merged a number of songs into one while still being funny and having really cool seques. They are a group from the University of Indiana. Please enjoy!

Here are a few more selecetions by them.

I am not sure Ray appreciates that I like to sing! In fact, I am sure he doesn't!

A big part of it is my schedule. I would have to try to sort out how to find time.

Awesome voices. I used to sing an a "a capella"-choir about 25 years ago. It was a bit religious orientated and that is something I now dont like much anymore, dont have much with religion nowadays.

That is so cool! I did not realize you did that. I bet you enjoyed it a lot because you sure do like your music.

Okay.... I watched the first video and really really enjoyed it. It was funny and it was good singing!!!!! I'll be back to watch the rest. Hey... you just went up 10 notches in my friendship book because I really like people who can sing. Maybe it is because I can't sing and I wish I could. Really great post!

I am glad that you liked it. I have to warn you ... I am not sure that I would say I am a good singer. I am definitely enthusiastic and enjoy it, though!

You don't have to be 'brave' to join a gay men's chorus--they will usually take anyone who can carry a tune and that is not meant as a put down--they like to include as many as they can!

Well, I like to sing, but I am more comfy doing it in the safety of my home, particularly the shower, and my truck. Doing it in front of people makes me really nervous.

Oh, yeah. I learned about them when they did a show on "The Young and the Restless." They are awesome. I also added a few extra ones above for you to check out.
