  I'm Still Here

No, I'm not suffering from writer's block.  It's more like there is just SO MUCH going on in my life right now, it's overwhelming and much too much to try to get out on paper (keys).

So bear with me while I try to sort it all out.  Here are some highlights I have been dealing with.

ROOMMATE:  I was very excited to get a roommate so I wouldn't have to worry about loosing my rental but I forgot the #1 thing about Lesbians.  Here's the joke that goes with it:  "what do lesbians bring on their 2nd date?   A U Haul"

So roommate lived with me for 3 weeks and got a girlfriend.  I have barely seen her since and I'm very scared she is going to be renting a U-Haul here anyday and leaving me high and dry.   I wish my lease was up so I could just get a smaller place by myself that I could afford.  Not that I would enjoy moving in the snow.

MY DAUGHTER:  She and the baby are living with me and that's not a problem.  The problem is her erratic mood swings when she just randomly explodes on anyone around her.  She has done it to me about 5 times and to several on MY friends even.  She claims she needs to get on some meds but cannot afford them.  She told me today she found some help with them though and should get the drugs soon.  (She has Bi-Polar, ADHD, & post partum depression).  But even the mood swings doesn't help the fact that she is still with the Twinkie boyfriend that I HATE more than spinach.  I came home the other day and he had his ugly stinky skinny ass propped on my couch playing MY X BOX!!   And then he didn't even have the courtesy to shut it off and go home until I started blasting my music and vacuuming in front of him.  UGH  I hate that kid.  I hope that the meds she gets opens her eyes to what a piece of shit he is... Oh I'm getting pissed just trying to write about him.  So I will move on.

MY EX:  Well this is getting a little better.  She for the longest time thought she could get me back so she spent all day texting me and finding excuses to come by.  But I think she is realizing that I am not going to cave.  There are some very good reasons why I broke it off and they are things that have not changed.  Oh - she is seeing someone anyway!!  Other girl is ugly.  Not sure how to think about that.  If you ex dates someone prettier than you, you get jealous but what about when the other girl is ugly?  Weird.  I guess I have no point here.  Just rambling.

MY OTHER EX:  As in husband.  Yup.  Husband.  I have been spending a lot of time with him. Which totally freaks out my friends a little cause they think I am "really dating" him but we are not.  He is just one of my best friends and now that we are both single we get to hang out.  And we did have the discussion about "your not looking for anything from me right?"  "NO"  "GOOD"  lol.  We both agree that there was a reason we broke up and those things have not changed.  Sound familiar?

WINTER SUCKS:  I hate winter.  I hate it more than I hate the Twinkie boyfriend. ...... Well ALMOST that much.  I get a little down in the cold months and have a hard time getting through January and February when it's the coldest here.  Once March comes, I at least know spring is on the horizon and can manage but now when it's FREEZING BALLS outside, I just want to go to bed and stay til the sun wakes me up.  People ask me why in hell would I like in Utah if I hate winter so bad.  My answer is because I LOVE summer so much.  And you should see Utah in the summers.  I could spend the whole summer just traveling around this one state exploring some of the most beautiful places on earth.    The picture below is around the place I camp in the summer.  The drive is 45 minutes from my house.

MY SCHEDULE:  I swear since I have been single, I have not had one minute of peace.  I have plans made for the weekend by Tuesdays usually and sometimes up to the next week too.  I feel like I am on the go constantly.  I have made a personal pact to NOT date for at least 6 months.  Maybe longer.  So it's not like I'm busy doing that.  I am just busy doing things with friends.  And BOY is it FUN.  :)  Oh - one good thing about this is I have lost 13 lbs.    Yeah baby!!

WORK:  Sucks.  But with the economy the way it is right now and all the layoffs going around I have a sick feeling constantly about what would happen if I lost my job.  So when I am at work.  I at least make it LOOK like I'm working.    Which means, less time on greasy..... :(   I very seldom log on at home for some reason.

Anyway - those are my excuses and I'm sticking to them.

Ciao

Well I for one am glad you are busy. Makes winter a bit more bearable if you're constantly on the go. Thats one reason I live in Tennessee instead of Northern Michigan. I hate winter too!!

You have plenty of things keeping your busy.

Good excuses. I really, really hope that roommate doesn't move out, daughter gets on some meds, twinkie is soon out of the pictures, the ex situation stays good, winter ends soon, you continue having fun with your friends, and that you don't lose your job. Beautiful photo of where you camp. Seems like Utah summers almost make the winters worthwhile.

Well last night, the roommate SHOWED up and said she was fighting with her g/f so there is hope there... I know that's evil thinking

Yikes...that's quite the list, Meranda. Sorry. It's still freaking me out.

But...winter is half over, right? I mean, that's at least what I tell myself. Course, spring doesn't come for us until April at the earliest.

And at least you get out of the house and have a social life! My social life consists of the couch or the bed and the goodie box!

Yeah - that is one good thing about my kids being older.

Goody box huh? I am trying to get mine replenished again...

Great list! I hate work too and totally understand where you are coming from... it's scary out there! Gotta deal for now...
I think you are smart for not forgetting the reason you broke up with a person. Very smart!

My schedule is getting busy but it's all eating out so I don't think I'll loose anything.

MMMM I love to eat out but being single and poor means I don't that often

Stay warm and think thoughts of Spring!

I think january and february are bad months because we don't have any big holidays to break them up. well valentine's day but don't get me started on that one!

Oh - I HATE that holiday!!! Even when I was with someone I HATE that stupid holiday....

Yeah - I do have a possible backup if she moves out so that's good.

Phew! You must be totally exhausted. You have a lot going on!
I am glad things have settled down a bit with the ex, and it is great that you and the ex-husband can remain such good friends.
Best of luck with the roomie. That sounds like it could be a tough situation.
