Maybe this is why it has taken me so long to finish "My Shetland Shawl". I got bored with it and needed to do some mindless knitting. Mindless knitting is something you can work on while watching TV, chatting over coffee, reading blogs or driving. If you're knitting and driving you have to push your seat waaay back so your feet will comfortably reach the steering wheel. It also helps if you remove your footwear.

Knitting doesn't get much more mindless than this.

I'm right there with you on that. I have so many knitted dish cloths I don't know what to do with them, but when I need a quick project while watching Mr. Tbend bowl, that's what I do. I thought I would make everyone who rented one of the cabins take one home with them, but I'm not sure they want them.

I was trying to grab onto the steering wheel and work the pedals for you! Oh, my! I think I understand what you are saying, though... there are knitting PROJECTS and, then, there are FUN knitting things to do in between or instead. Both are good, but it's the mindless knitting that is relaxing and more immediately satisfying.

I trust you are kidding about the driving. Nice dishy things there.

I don't really knit while I'm driving but I do knit while DH is driving. I prefer to knit while seated in my comfy rocker/recliner.

Should I have mentioned they're dishcloths?

I loved the color that you have chosen there.

Thanks, Fredo. I have seven different colours in my stash and I knit three dishcloths in each colour.
