His long-running TV series, The Streets of San Francisco, guaranteed him as a legend in TV as well as motion pictures. It also introduced a new star, Michael Douglas.

I always enjoyed his work. He seemed to play nice, intense guys. Sure lived a long time, didn't he?

First time I saw karl Malden, my impression was "nothing". How wrong I was. One of the better second bananas and starring opposite
Brando, Douglas,Borgnine and many, many more, he was one of the great ones.
