One of my favorite snacks is cinnamon toast. The other day I decided to indulge myself before going to bed. I had not had any since I had returned because we had been out of cinnamon; however, Daughter had bought some at the market the day before.

I noticed as I put the delectable powder on the toast that it came out quite freely, and I got more on the bread than usual. As I was eating it, I thought, "Whew, this cinnamon is strong." But I ate it right down, reminding myself to go easier on the cinnamon the next time.

It never dawned on me until I went to the cabinet the next day that I had put chili powder rather than cinnamon on my toast.

DUH! And to think I consider myself a relatively intelligent person!

Well now you have me wondering how a little bit of chili powder added to cinnamon sugar would taste. Have to think about it. As the holiday weekend comes up I worry about families hitting the road and having terrible accidents like that.

I do also. Little Buddy and her family will be traveling over the 4th. I always worry when any member of my family is traveling. Let us pray for everyone to have a safe holiday weekend. As to the chili powder mixed with sugar, cinnamon is definitely a better choice.
