True Blood, Season Two, Episode Two

After tearing a prisoner to pieces who had burned him with a silver cross, Eric the 1,000 year old Viking looking vampire, brings Lafayette up from the dungeon to question him. Eric's beautiful vampire companion Pam is in the process of highlighting Eric's hair (!!) complete with tinfoil wrapped around sections of his hair. She cuts Eric's hair short to remove human blood dried in it as he questions Lafayette.

Meanwhile: Sookie and Bill have a tender love scene--(and I'll say this as an envious old lady--she has magnificent perky breasts.)
Meanwhile: Jason goes off to a Fellowship of the Sun Leadership conference where participants are given silver rings. He is popular and makes a jealous enemy. At the seminar is a sexy girl singer who sings a song in a sexy voice "Jesus Asked Me Out Today." (!!)

Meanwhile: Tara and "Eggs" (a black guy Mary Ann the shapeshifter has rescued) live at Mary Ann's plush estate and are falling for each other with Mary Ann's collusion. Mary Ann (a shapely brunette) goes to Sam's place-Merlot's--and orders everything on the menu (she shapeshifts into a hog so she loves to eat.) She influence's patrons to get up and dance to the point of having sex. When Sookie tries to read her mind, she hears some ancient language in Mary Ann's head. (!!)

Meanwhile: Lafayette gets hold of the leg Eric had tossed aside and gorily removes a metal hip replacement and uses it to pry his chain off. He gets shot by an employee as he tries to escape. He begs Eric to turn him vampire--it ends with three of them attacking him.

Meanwhile: Jessica the 17 year of vampiress who lives with Bill cries when she see her parents on TV pleading for the return of their missing daughter. Sookie unwisely drives her to the street where her parents live and Jessica gets in the house. Her parents and sister are unaware she has been turned vampire until her father talks crossly to her-- she pins him to the wall, meaning to bite him but Bill shows up, very angry.

End of that episode--very entertaining. susil

I have to wait for this to be available on DVD. Maybe it already is. I'll probably like it once I start watching. I didn't think I'd like Weeds, and I like that program a lot.

It beats logic. But you can't tell the players without a score card. I still haven't seen it. But, then, if I keep reading your blog, I won't have to, right?

IF you believe in vampires than it is all logical--if you don't than it is just fun!

I'm thinkin' somewhere out there might be a person without a TV but with a computer who could read this and keep up!

Every week I fall more in love with Tara--and Eggs(?) ain't anything to sneer at It looks like Jason and Eggs will be fighting to see who takes their shirts off the most!!!
I'm assuming Lafayette wasn't killed--he is an important part of the show and plays a difficult role really well.
AJ keeps on insisting I read the books--that there are twists and turns acoming!!!

There sure are a lot of guys with buff bods on this show! Lafayette was too good a character to kill off. I don't think Alan Ball the producer is going strictly by the books which are written in Sookie's voice--I read one and it was so silly (to me) I didn't finish it--but the ridiculousness translates to entertaining TV.
Sorry if I'm spoiling it by telling all before you get to see it.
