We the People Are the Government.

THE IRONY of it ALL.

This is not a "so be it" thing, my dear voltaire.  Like children gowing up, we must learn and until we do, there will be war until we learn what is right.  It is all part of the process of growth.  It sure is an ugly part of the process but it is still a part of the process.  Cause and effect.  This is the result.

We are a nation with a "representative" form of government, a "Republic".  That means that the "people" of this nation ARE the government because we chose who we want to represent our views.  We cannot blame those we chose; we can only blame ourselves for making stupid and careless choices.

The people must learn. 1+1=2.  The people choose (1 cause), the representatives act (1 effect).  Where we are right now is the result of 1+1.

The people are at fault and the people need to get their apathetic heads out of their butts and start paying attention to what is important and what is real or not othwerwise we will continue on this self destructive path.  But that path is chosen by the people.

Obama is a lying slug like those before him.  He just speaks more fluently than the last slug in office.  Obama is no different than the tooth fairy; little ones want to believe, so they do.  Doesn't make it real because you believe (hope).

The people must change.  The people are the problem.  The people are at fault.  Until the people take responsibility for their own actions (or lack thereof), there will continue to be big problems, like war, poverty, pain, etc.

The people will always suffer the fate of their own hand.

Hey Ben,
When we as Americans reach the bottom we will find our roots and it's there where true healing will begin. I would love to see us healthy again.

With "ALL DUE" respect, I didn't think "Ron Paul" had the "experience" to lead. I could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time. My kids supported him.

I really wanted "Hillary". I didn't think at the time a "black man" was best for the country. Not because I couldn't "accept", I wasn't sure the country was ready for it.

The "white" BLACK president is an incredible talker. I like alot of what he does, alot I don't. His "ideas" are like way off the wall to me. Still, I feel he has a 50/50 chance of success. He will either "fluck us up", or he will help. I'm still not sure. I did vote for him.

As far as "anything" political, I'm not naive. Just so you know. We won't agree on all (for sure), but talking is the key. For now, I am giving "Obama" his chance.

Take care, Gary :)

I don't think he'll run again but his son will. Nobody has more experience and complete understanding of our financial system than Ron Paul, and they all know that which is why they blackballed him in the media and wouldn't include him in the debates - he makes everyone else look like an idiot.

I didn't say "how long in office" as experience. Really, I never paid attention to either of them on that. Just in my opinion, he didn't strike me as someone with enough "experience" to lead the country. Do you think he will run again?

Ah, Gary, my good buddy. you just hanged yourself on that one.

Ron Paul at the time of the Presidential race was a TEN TERM US Congressman with 30 YEARS continuous experience in the US Congress. he is now an 11 term Congressman as he successfully rant two campaigns simultaneously, for President of the US and for US Congress.

Barack Obama, to date, has NEVER completed a term, not a complete term in federal office. Obama was less than HALF A TERM Senator before running for US President. Nobody EVER had less experience than Barack Obama.

That's all true, but we really don't have the ability to "elect" who we really want. We choose the "lesser of evils" for the most part. I'm sure everyone here knows some "middle class" person (who wasn't born with a silver spoon) that would be a "better" President then any before. Just they don't have the ability to "run" for office. They are far too busy just trying to feed the family. I wish there was a way to change that, but really I don't see a way possible. Anyway, take care Gary :)

Also, Gary, adapting to circumstances and overcoming the obstacles in the electoral process is an experience that only a true "leader" can undertake and succeed therefore it is a good measuring instrument for judging the true qualities of a leader.

Ron Paul met such obstacles, overcame them and propelled his existence forward; however, lame and apathetic Americans simply chose not to listen to the truth. They're looking for the tooth fairy and that's exactly what they got.

Not true. Ron Paul was not the lesser of any evil and he was not born with a silver spoon in his hand. His entire fund raising came from "individuals" and he did not support special interest groups therefore did not receive campaign funds from special interest groups.

Ron Paul is a TEN TERM Congressman - over 30 years elected to US House by his Texas constituents. He also has a medical practice and delivers babies when Congress is not in session.

Because of him, America moves a huge leap forward toward electing a third party.

Your are correct in your assesment of the state of our Country. I am of the firm belief that the only event that will "shake up" the people in this country, and of the world, is a depression. I hate to say this as I do not want to see a world wide economic disaster. Too many people, worldwide, have not had to go without. Have not had to sacrifice. Have not lost loved ones. It is sad, but true. We have become a world of "fat cats" who will not care until it hits one in the pocket book.
