A Question for Conservatives, and What is Stupid

My response to this stupid question.  --Laura/whereabouts

A Question for Conservatives...

Blaming someone else for what you choose to do on your own is B-f*cking-S!  I hear stupid sh*t all the time and I don't believe in the stupid sh*t I hear nor do I act upon it.

LAME, LAME, LAME, at best, excuse for what is really happening.

I didn't read past that blame the talk radio crap, btw; there's no reason to.  If this idiot believes that something someone else said is the "cause" of killings, then there's no point in reading further - what she thinks is meaningless.

The cause of any human action can be traced back to that human MAKING A CHOICE to do or to not do something.  People who are influenced by the words of others CHOOSE to be influenced by others.

The CAUSE and the BLAME is to be placed upon the individuals who do such stupid sh*t because they are psycho, evil, and too freaking weak minded to CHOOSE to do what is right.

Forgot to add this in above:

We're not talking about young children who are still learning how to think for themselves; we're talking about free thinking adults. As an adult, the only person responsible for your thoughts is yourself. If you can't control your own thoughts then get the f*ck off the planet.

Ok Hector (Prince of Troy)
This topic is boiling in my blood now. I was just going to flash you with some flare but I must opine from the heart. This country meaning (the people) have gone so far left it blows my mind at times. It used to be that I was shocked to hear things like California is the countries role model for the rest of the states, trend setters ya no. But now very little shocks me, in fact I haven’t been shocked in long time. With the digression in values so goes the virtue of ourselves, we become lost in the lack of identity. People without character because of anything other than natural causes are without purpose and are living a void life without meaning. I pity the day some slacker low life comes to my door looking for sympathy or empathy because of reasons like mentioned in this piece. I won’t throw the book at them but I’ll throw my book at them. In my book we each at birth were given a brain, and with this brain we were given tools, and in using these tools we (every man/woman) have the opportunity to be free thinkers. Capable of exercising good judgment freeing ourselves of the vile that plagues our land. If someone was to come up to me and say something like “the way I think isn’t my fault”. ##### slapping them comes to mind for standing in front of me admitting to having given up the most precious gifts we have (free will).

The freedom to willfully pursue a life full of honor and trust, boy who thinks like that anymore? I have zero time for anything like that or anyone who chooses not to claim ownership of there on sorry thoughts makes me gag. Turn to the left if you want to but I promise you this: your life will suck to the uttermost and your world will shrink to nothing as collapse engulfs the beauty inside of you.

I may not have a lot but one thing I will always have is a clarity of mind to stand for good things that offer hope and promise.

Oh yeah, #### California!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jazelda

You got me all rile up there, Julie, I forgot to proof read!

Right! So few truly understand what it takes and how to possess the qualities of "Truth", "Honor", and "Integrity"! So may simply want to blame others rather than accept the responsibility as their own and begin taking the steps to fix this blasted mess we're in! We lack the character building skills of yesteryear. We lack the courage of fortitude of our founding fathers of this great nation. We spit on their graves by all this malarkey we are acting upon! We're shedding the fabric of our great American being and shredding all that stands for America. We were once home of the Brave, now we're a puddle piss attitudes and careless individuals. Less living and breathing, nobody "deserves" anything except what they've earned as a result of their efforts, whatever they may be.

You're going to get me on a roll, Gertrude!

I'll respond someday to your query. You probably won't like what I'll say.

er, want to "hear" your perspective...
reply by whereabouts on June 16, 2009 2:24 PM ()
Precisely why I want your perspective and exactly what I am looking for.

Goodness, I couldn’t tell if you were making a point or just trying to dance around the issue lol. It made me think, hum, I wonder if she dances. But then it came to me that you are a conservative which to me means you are thoughtful and precise about thought. Which also lead me to understand that you are the one responsible for detouring my thoughts about dancing lol. What the double hockey sticks am I saying here? There is no power in persuasion, and not a single thing comes to mind when I think about tired eyes lol. Oh and BTW I completely understand.

Boy I’m so glad I stopped by.

See ya again soon Hector

I don't agree with the "Devil made me do it theory". I can pretty much trace all my "blunders" right back to my choices. I can say however "in my defense", the devil hangs out at the same "parties" I do. He can "sway me a bit" after he gets me to drinking..
comment by coincutter on June 15, 2009 10:46 PM ()
Yikes! You'd think I was partying...1:12 AM! But, as much as I'd hate to admit it, I'm reading. My eyes are getting to the point where I can't see straight, just like when partying too much!
reply by whereabouts on June 15, 2009 11:14 PM ()
I think we've both run into the same devil while partying!
reply by whereabouts on June 15, 2009 11:12 PM ()
Taking responsibility for one's own actions is a given. "The devil made me do it" is the oldest excuse since day one. I used to read James (ekprog.), but decided he was too overboard for my "conservative liberalism" (yes, an oxymoron--what can I say?) I think the two of us have a lot to learn about each other. I'm not the "debating" type--don't like conflicts, not into arguing. I do like to discuss many topics, however. I am definitely a skeptic! Ciao.
comment by solitaire on June 15, 2009 4:50 PM ()
Hey, thanks for stopping by and having a read at my rant.

I see debating as mere "discussions". Maybe it's my poor choice of words; or maybe it's your fear of conflict that is setting the two apart? Don't know but I enjoy debating and I enjoy discussions. I think both can be accomplished simultaneously without anger and resentment, and without conflict.

Eky's my bud and sometimes he is way too liberal and other times not. I blow through the over-liberal stuff unless it ignites something in me such as the article I replied to above. I've also noticed that he seems to get more over-liberal and over-the-top when he's stressed by what he's surrounded with. I've been stuck in that place before.

Yes, I agree, we have much to learn about each other. Still waiting for the remarks from the "skeptic" on my "visions", so we may begin to "discuss" the subject.

oh, I my words are painted all "clorful" when I get sarcastic, too.
reply by whereabouts on June 15, 2009 9:25 AM ()
LOL I get really irritated when someone attempts to blame whatever-it-is for a wrong committed rather than place the responsibility where it belongs, upon the individual who committed the wrong. But, I'm not angry, if that is what you meant by the "heavy stuff" comment. I just get sarcastic when talking about stupidity for I refuse to tolerate and accept incompetent thinking.
